About Ludalor

I was brought up in an environment where dogs were an integral part of daily life and in 1984 from my labrador Tessa's second litter i decided to keep two of the bitches for myself-Ludalor Puddle Hopper Lizzie and Ludalor Busy Bess both of whom had lovely show careers, winning many Best of Breeds.

In 1993 I bought Tuxford Yellow Rose at Ludalor from Mrs. Griffin and in 1994 purchased Stretlaw June Landing at Ludalor from my good friend Jean Walters (Stretlaw). Both bitches proved in their own way to be outstanding. June Landing's first litter was to Show Champion Rocheby Whiskey Mac in 1996, which produced her marvelous bitch, Show Champion Ludalor Latisha. Her second litter, in 1999, was to Rocheby Old Smokey, which produced Ludalor Lloyd, who to date has one reserve CC. Latisha has now been retired, but only from the showring! She produced a bumper litter of 10 puppies in April 2001 to Braunspath Discovery, a Junior Warrant and Reserve CC. I kept Ludalor Law Student and Ludalor Lillibeth from the 10, and both qualified for Crufts at their first show; each won Minor Puppy with Law Student also winning Best Puppy in Breed.

Ten more stunning puppies were produced from Yellow Rose's second litter in 2000, when she came together with my own Ludalor Lloyd. I again kept one - Ludalor Lilly - and what a start she's had. At just nine months old Lilly was awarded a Reserve CC and Best Puppy in Show at the Labrador Retriever Club in 2002 and at 13 months won her second Reserve CC at the Northumberland & Durham Championship Show.
